ANY cellular phones compatible with Mac OS X????
1. At a minimum, I am simply looking for cellular phones which are compatible with Mac OS X, for exchanging name and calendar data (probably via Bluetooth).
2. Is Nokia PC Suite software compatible with Mac OS X and Virtual PC? 3. What phone companies provide SDK's or info for developing Mac software to communicate with phone? thanks... |

Well I have to say that my Sony Ericsson T68i works very well with both my Macs!!
I can bluetooth sync using isync with Addressbook and Ical and I can use the phone to connect to the internet either using GPRS or normal.. So to sum up, T68i works very nicely! Cheers, --Zed

Really, I just want to transfer and sync names and info between phone and Macintosh.
Of course, Apple has cool free software- see http://www.apple.com/isync/ Currently limited to a few Sony Ericsson models... After much research, here is what I learn: iSync supports a technology standard called "syncML". Ericsson has it already in their phones. But I like Nokia better. Nokia has a few models coming with syncML... http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,5184,2561,00.html Nokia 7250 info: http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,5184,4541,00.html The other syncML phones are quite bizarre (but perhaps practical for some users)- the 6800 is an intriguing design. Right now, Nokia 7250 looks like way to go. It doesn't have Bluetooth, but cable is OK for me. But now have to wait for release in Q1 2003! STILL PEAVED! |
