adding text into movie with QuickTime Player Pro

Hello Everyone!

I just found this Forum and I am happy to see a community of mac lovers
very awesome!

Anyway, I have a quick question about QuickTime Pro.. I did purchase it and I have a QT movies that I want to add text into..It's a simple text..Just my phone number BUT every time I try, it doesn't work...it is getting to be a huge pain in the butt for something so simple..Any suggestions? Any other software out there that will allow me to add simple text into my 30 second QT movie?

Thanks in Advance!

welcome to this awesome forum !

a few months ago i wanted to add some text as a watermark in Snapz Pro. i found this article, which said it wasnt possible - but that you COULD do it through QTPro. its probably not the simplest way...but it does work.

you could also try opening the film in imovie and adding the phone no as a 'title' over the clip. even though i dont use imovie - im sure 'imovie help' will give you instructionson how to do it.

good luck

In addition to the QTPro methods detailed at the Ambrosia site, you could consider adding the phone number as a subtitle. Check out Miyu, http://www.fluffalopefactory.com/miyu/index.html. The company has gone out of business and the software seems a little quirky under Leopard, but Miyu works fine for the kind of short project you describe.
