Airport Extreme 7.4.1: Error -5
I just upgraded my Airport Extreme to the latest firmware (7.4.1). After reboot, the unit is seen on the Airport Utility (Mac) both wirelessly and via wired Ethernet, but when I try to "Manual Setup" or "Configure", I get the following error:
AN ERROR OCCURRED WHILE READING THE CONFIGURATIONUnit cannot be seen outside of Airport Utility via OS or iStumbler. Cannot connect to unit as wireless client. I've tried rebooting the unit and the computer but still get the same results. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Someone with a similar problem reported on the Apple forums (http://discussions.apple.com/thread....14790&tstart=0) that doing a reset of the Airport base station fixed the problem.

That did it, Hayne! I had used the reset button previously, but didn't hold for 5 sec so it didn't fully reset, I guess.
Solved. Thanks again. |
