Hello
I have an iBook G4 which has begun to have troubles booting. There is a long blank-screened pause after the power-on chime. I suspected it was trying to boot from the network -- something that I have never used -- so removing the ethernet cable appears lessen the pause. I have noticed that when entering OpenBoot the first message now reads: 1 1 kPES does not equal kCCS can't OPEN: enet:, diags When the machine does boot, occasionally it will not negotiate DHCP over wifi or cable (it does recognise when the cable is in/out, wifi on/off), and spotlight reindexes the hdd. Any ideas? Thanks. |
