Entourage and Public Folder Calendars
I am trying to sync or copy the information from a Public Folder Calendar in Exchange into my personal Calendar in Entourage. I am using Entourage 2008, our Exchange server is Exchange 2003. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how?

I think if you right click ( control click ) on an event in Public calendar you have the option to copy or move the event to other calendars.

If I right-click on a public calendar I get:
Help Open New Calendar Event New Folder New Calendar Subscribe Delete Calendar Synchronize Now Add to Favorites Bar Sharing Folder Properties No options for copying contents. I can copy events one at a time, but this is not a good solution as there are many entries that need to be moved from one calendar to the other. I also tried Subscribe but this just puts easier access to the calendar farther up on the right side under subscribed calendars and is not useful for my purpose. |

Yes, I can do that but that would entail copying one event at a time and this is a whole Calendar full of events. Not really a good solution to my situation.

I tried dragging my local calendar from Entourage to the desktop. It made a folder full of calendar entries with the .ics suffix. Perhaps dragging the Exchange calendar to the desktop would do the same thing. Then you might be able to drop the .ics files on to your local calendar.

Thanks for the suggestion mclbruce. It allows me to drag my main Exchange calendar to the desktop that way as well as the "on this computer" calendar. Unfortunately, it does not allow me to drag the public folder calendar to my desktop that way. My guess is that it is a limitation with the public folders in Exchange 2003 or some setting my Exchange server has set on that end.

Well then there's always the Address Book Views. Make a view that shows all events on the public folder calendar. Now you have a list of events. You should be able to select all the events and do various operations on them, including copying them.
