Mac OS 10.2.4: Evaluations

------------

Seems we do these updates often, but I find it helpful to see how they go. I'm still at 10.2.3 at the moment and all is working well. Looking forward to hearing how 10.2.4 is working out, in general.

Please see the System troubleshooting forum for help with troubleshooting issues.

Still Quake II GL in OS X doesn't work (since 10.2.3)

Finally put a unified GeForce driver

OpenGL was updated (unlike in 10.2.3) and my games run a bit faster now

Startup time seems a bit slower

I may spend the weekend reformatting and reinstalling my OSes. A fresh start for 10.2.4 sounds good.

Good update for the 41MB download.

Thumbs up PowerBook G4 running better!

I'm quite happy that 10.2.4 seems to address the problems that I was having when, having awaken the computer, the trackpad would act *very* strangely.

Although, when I initially upgraded, the same computer would not obtain a DHCP-assigned address if I were to unplug and reseat the ethernet cable. After backing up my user directory, reinstalling Jaguar (and all the updates), and restoring my directory, everything is working perfectly. It also seems to be a bit faster in general use.

It should also be noted that the mouse tab in the System preferences no longer disappears when you unplug the mouse and I think that the option to ignore the trackpad when the mouse is plugged in is new.

Unhappy Wacom click-and-drag broken

Updated to 10.2.4, and now my Graphire2 (driver up-to-date) works OK for pointing, clicking; unfortunately, the cursor won't move while any button is depressed. Makes it hard to draw, or use Ink!
