PPPoe & wireless security

Hello,

if I use PPPoe on my Time Capsule (or Airport extreme) to connect to the internet with my ISP
then my Wireless doesn't show the padlock under the Menu bar Airport icon
it just shows a drop down menu with "Time and..."

My wireless is normally secure with WPA personal 2, and still is as far as I know
is being connected through PPPoe and share Ip address reduce my wireless security ?
