smtp.mac.com password
Hi
I have just tried to open a Mac account so that I can email photos from Iphoto. I am asked to enter a password for 'smtp.mac.com:..' but it will not accept my password and I can't find the correct password. Have tried loads of things. Help! Thanks Kate |

The password is your .Mac/MobileMe password.
You can also email photos from iPhoto to any account you have setup in Mail. You don't need to have MobileMe to email photos. |

The ability to email pictures out of iPhoto is merely a convenience as solipsism points out. Do you actually have a dot Mac or MobileMe account? If so, Apple's Mail program requires you to use Password Authentication, plug in your user name (but not the address -- "user name" @ mobileme . com)
