It appears not. There is a KB and autocorrector, if you are JB on 113/4, but I seem to remember that was not your preference.

Hmm... I’m checking for a friend, actually. An online solution is not viable. He wants something that resides on his phone. When he’s visiting in-laws in Cuba, going online is difficult -- and prohibitively priced. And also the rest of the time, he wants to be able to query without having to be online. Not unreasonable? ArcticStones PS. Checked the online dictionary. "Cante jondo" is for example not in there. Nor is "duende" (in the sense that Lorca used it).

Dictionaries for iPhone: http://ultralingua.com/en/iphone-dictionary.htm
There are also dictionaries formatted as iPod Notes. I don't know why they wouldn't work on iPhones, too. |

Thank you! As far as I know Ultralingua is some of the best stuff out there.

Great! I’ve sent the link to my friend. Really grateful if you can let me know when they’re done with that app!

We just released a new update of Spanish English Dictionary + to iTunes. The dictionary, phrasebook and verb conjugator are offline. The only thing you need a connection for is text-to-speech. If your friend is visiting Cuba he may hear local sayings like "Por Si Las Moscas" (Just in Case). Our app allows users to add notes to dictionary entries (see below) and phrases to capture country specific usage examples. Feedback welcome by pm or email. Best, Marc Bolh CEO Ascendo
