How do I get my earphones to work ?
On my G4 Quicksilver ?
I Select Volume in preferences and select:USB Audio. The message below says:"The selected device has no output controls". What does that mean and how to I correct it ? Thanks. |

What kind of headphones are you using? What version of OS X are you running?

Headphones are Turtle Bay USB.
OS: 10.3.9.(About to install 10.4.11). AS far as I can see from their website there are no drivers needed for the phones. |

I used USB headphones from a different manufacturer and they "just worked." No special drivers or controls were needed. The "no output controls" is not necessarily bad, as long as you have a volume control. Although you should have balance as well.
There are a lot of different Turtle *Beach* models. Some look like they are for XBox or some other console. Those might not work on the Mac. |

OK, thanks. I guess I'll ask Turtle Beach. They are Gaming Headphones.
For PC & Consoles. I think they are: Ear Force HPA2. |
