Question Difficulty setting up wireless Internet through AirPort

Hi. I am new to the Mac family. I bought my first Mac computer today (a MacBook Pro), and I have been trying to connect to the internet ALL DAY but have been unable to.

I have At&t DSL Internet. My computers in my house are set up with a wireless internet service provided by 2Wire. I gone through set up on the MacBook over and over again...finally I found the password I needed to gain access to the 2Wire network, but now it says "No IP Address".

HELP! What does this mean? What are the steps I need to take to get internet access?

Any information you can provide would be helpful and appreciated!

Thanks.

I know this is probably not what youre lookin for, but I also am new to mac, bought a MBP and have Verizon dsl. And..I have internet access, but cant share or see my desktops. Im using dlink 615. I reinstalled.fresh OS Leopard from inst disks, and there it was. Everything. The fnny thing is when I went to "sharing" NONE of the boxes were even checked. But I hadtotal access, perfect reception. It lasted for a day or two and today its gone again. Go figure. MAybe a reinstall will work for you. I only mention it because I imagine your harddrive is still fairly empty of personal stuff.
