Change Delete dialog default button

Assuming Max OSX 10.5 (Leopard):

When running the delete command (-delete) for items on other volumes, the resulting dialog window presents two options: cancel or delete. Leopard has the 'cancel' button set as the default. Is there any way to change the default to 'delete'?

Thanks,

"Cancel" is the default because the file is not moved to the trash, but permanently deleted from a networked drive. While you cannot change the default option, you can enable Tab to access focus on all controls by entering Control-F7. In this mode, you can enter "Delete" by pressing Tab and then Space. This can also be adjusted in the Keyboard & mouse preferences pane.
