THE HUMAN body contains 100 000 000 000 000 cells, a tenth of which belong to the body proper. The remaining 90 per cent are the 90 trillion or so bacteria that live on or in us.

That is pretty interesting. I knew we had bacteria inside us, but not that much...

They've actually taught us that in school (I know, how dare they!), but I when I looked it up to make sure I post accurate info on the forums (not that teachers ever lie or anything ), I've also found it here

I just read an interesting fact. In like 1986 or 87 the USA lost over 7 million children. This was due to the fact that the IRS, started to require a child's social security number on your tax return. People across the USA had a bunch of fake tax children and once they required that, over 7 million children just disappeared on paper.

Am I right in thinking that Tomato Ketchup was originally green?.... Heinz launched Green 'TommyK' in the UK and it was an almighty flop....

Thanks! That fact, which was news to me, will actually prove very useful as trivia in an article I’m writing on paper production from pulp derived from sustainable forests.

Apparently a beetle and a butterfly were also named after him.

Curiosities of Biological Nomenclature

I wonder what the most offensive dedication ever would be. Maybe to have some sort of parasitic worm named after you.
