Angry Airport Extreme not listing files

I bought an Airport Extreme base station off eBay soon after the Gigabit models came out. Right now I'm trying to use AirDisk, but none of the disks I have tried seem to want to work correctly. I can mount the disk over the network, but no files appear. I've tried repairing the disk, changing the format and partition map, but nothing has worked. The Apple Discussion forums seem to have some people with the same issue.

Has anyone else run into this problem and found a solution?

What filesystem are you using on the drives that you've attached?

What point version of OS X are you using?

I'm using 10.5.2 on a MacBook.

My 300GB drive is formatted with HFS+ and Apple partition map.

I tried using a 256 MB flash drive as a test bed with different partition maps and formats, but the MS-DOS format or GUID partition table worked.
