Heresy. I know. Two weeks ago we were in single digits.... lowest temp here in 14 years. So, two data points please. (NO, I am not trying to start a debate.)

More random heresy.... Glenn Beck was voted the 2nd most liked TV personality in the US. (Oprah won of course.)

Even more random heresy.... Democratic funded poll found Fox News the most "trusted" news network. Fox significantly more trusted than ABC and NBC or any of the others. Figure that one out.

String output = rand.currentThought();
System.out.println(output);

I'm afraid that Americans deserve the trouble they're creating for themselves.

On the other hand, I don't own an air conditioner; it never gets really hot here in the summer.

I certainly hope the healthy feeling I enjoy after drinking my V8 Fusion isn't the placebo effect...

Here are some relaxing summer sounds recorded in my back yard. You have my permission to download it for your personal use. Just play it on endless repeat through your iPod as you drift off to sleep for that authentic Aussie summer feel

I just saw this, and I think we deserve an accounting. Please list all sins you've committed in the last month and a half. Thanks.

Now really, AEH; no wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, or gluttony?

Guilty on all seven counts, plus a possibly illegal love for dark chocolate. (This is me, for the record, not AEH, I have no idea if AEH likes dark chocolate or not.)

Of course the problem with the seven deadly sins is that with prudent moderation we all commit them to some extent and that doesn't seem to be particularly deadly (I'm 73) so there must be a threshold above which they kick in with a vengeance. I suspect that dark chocolate is simply below the cutoff, so you're safe, Jay, unless this heinous behavior gets completely out of hand.

<-- picturing Jay buried in a vat of dark chocolate, slowly eating his way out; an image so wrong on so many levels that it may constitute a mortal sin in its own right.

Ha. At our age NovaScotian, the list of sins that might actually be worth doing seems to just get a little shorter every day.

I can still manage wrath (mostly about the news), a bit of sloth (too much time in front of my computer), a touch of pride (great grandkids) and a tad of gluttony (we eat well), but greed, lust and envy are fading fast.
