Question New Drive For New MacBook

I am purchasing my new MacBook tomorrow with the base 120 GB HD, and I am going to buy a new 250 GB HD for it at the same time. Saves me money over the upgrade price, and then I will have 2 Hard Drives. I was wondering if I can clone the HD that comes with the MacBook to the new 250 GB one, or should I just install Leopard on the new HD, as I have no data on either yet?

If I have to clone it, how could I do this?

I've been thinking, and I would rather do a fresh install on the new 250 GB HD. Can anyone see any problems with this? I am very new to Mac OS.

I am getting the Hitachi TravelStar 5K250 250GB 2.5" Mobile Hard Drive - SATA, 5400, 8MB

Seems to be rated well.
