Digital Camera not listed as Compatible in iPhoto

I own an Olympus C-3040 Z digital camera. This model is not listed as being compatible with iPhoto. Has anyone used iPhoto with this camera or any other non listed model?

I bought a Canon PowerShot S30 which was not listed as being iPhoto compatible (but I see it's now been added to the page), and it worked fine.

Basically, if the camera will work with Image Capture (ie Image Capture launches when you plug in the camera), then it will work with iPhoto -- iPhoto uses Image Capture as the front-end capture program.
