Question how to check Xcode version?

How to find out / check currently installed Xcode version?

The gcc is version 4.0.1, but how do I know the Xcode is 2.3 or 2.4.1?

Thanks!

Finder's Get Info command?

(Are you trying to do it programmatically for some reason? If so, what reason?)

how to confirm Xcode Tools version?

Sorry, let me clarify.

I have document "/Developer/About Xcode Tools.pdf" which contains note about "Xcode Tools 2.4 Release for Mac OS X v10.4 (Tiger)".

However, Finder Get Info of the Xcode application "/Developer/Applications/Xcode.app" show version 2.3.

So hinted me that simply Get Info of Xcode.app won't return accurate information about what version of Xcode tools installed.

I went to the Receipts folder but no Xcode Tools there.

Do you know any way?

Thanks!

Launch Xcode and choose Xcode > About Xcode. The About Box will tell you the version of Xcode you're running.

In the Terminal, /Developer/usr/bin/xcodebuild -version would do the trick.
