Sure, Monopoly is a great one!
We prefer play it at the parties drinking some alco either...
By the way do you know that there is an upgraded version of Monopoly released several months ago???
Yep, now it accepts credit cards beside cash!

It was released earlier than several month ago I think. When I went buy my Monopoly game for one of large parties we were going to arrange, I saw the one you are talking about. If I'm not mistaken it's called "Monopoly Deluxe" and has credit cards instead of paper money. It was two times more expensive, so I decided to stick to traditional course

I am going to render all other nominations I may or may not have made in this thread void and declare my favorite game of 2007: Guitar Hero 3.

Question

I have found the Guitar Hero 3 video. However I didn't get the plot of the game from it...

BTW, mates, I need advice from you... I think I can post this here..
I have rather old Desktop PC: Pentium 1,5 Ghz, 640 RAM, 40 Gb HDD, not bad Video Card ATI Radeon 256 MB.
I want to use it for gaming. I understand that I can improve everything in it besides processor. So I have a reasonable question: should I upgrade it if it has such Processor or I should forget about gaming on it?
Games are going to be rather "hard" ones (Bioshock, Crysis, Test Drive Unlimited e.t.c.)
I also have iMac and I run Windows on it with Parallels Desktop and Boot Camp. I use Parallels for work and Boot Camp for gaming. But you know that laptop is not as good for gaming as Desktop computer.. So you should understand my intention..
Cheers.

You have a plastic guitar. With five buttons on it.

There is no plot, you just play songs. It's like Dance Dance Revolution for your fingers.

But, with music that people actually know.

I've seen this thread popping up for a while and noticed it's gotten fairly massive! Just waded through the bulk of it, and I believe ArcticStones' question never got a reply.

I'd recommend Shredder 11 (or DeepShredder 11 if you have a multi-processor/core Mac and can afford it) as the best off-the-shelf chess app available for the Mac. I have Shredder 9 and thoroughly enjoy it. Version 11 just came out recently.

One of the news items on the ShredderChess site notes that Shredder 9 was the first chess app rated at over 2800 Elo by the CSS Online computer magazine. If you need something better than that, you should really be playing professionally!

Shredder came in 4th at the World Computer Chess Championship last year and 2nd the year before. Not sure if any of the other apps are available for Mac though.

well you can upgrade the cpu, but your gonna need some thermal paste, and probably upgrade the fan, apart from that just up the ram, and the hard drive.

Crysis is like 9gbs

Does it worth it? How much money will it cost for me?
Will it be cheaper to get a new PC?

well im no expert, but i know that its cheaper to upgrade than by a ready made gaming pc. Ram will cost anywhere between £30-60 for 2gbs, the cpu, really depends on what your motherboard can handle (ideally you want a motherboard that can handle core 2 duo, and have a 16x pci-e slot) and the graphics card is really depending on how hardcore you wanna go, the latest nvidea flagship cards are like £400
