File Sharing cannot be started
Hi, I do have OS X 10.4. running on G4.
All of a sudden I am not able to start "Personal File Sharing". When clicking on checkbox it disappears immediately. Same thing happens if I click on Start Button. I did google and tried to find an idea here at the forum but did not succeed. Any help appreciated, thank you, Erhard |

Look in the system.log for relevant errors (at the time that you tried to start File Sharing).
You can most easily look at this log file by using the "Console" application that is in /Applications/Utilities

Konsole error Message
It says
System Preferences[411] ### Error:-1 File:FileSharing.m Line:227 need to reinstall something or any idea? thank you |
