flip4mac and multiple tabs in safari

since the newest version of the flip4mac wmv plugin for safari came out, i've run into an annoying issue. if i navigate to another tab while a page with wmv video is open, the wmv will RELOAD (sometimes taking a long time, if its a large movie) when i go back to its tab. the only solution i can think of at the moment is to open all movies in their own windows, but i really hate the clutter. is there a way to fix this (other than reverting to a previous version of flip4mac)?
