'What are you reading now'-thread v.2

I decide to revive this thread here once more (in order to get some suggestions) if it has ever been alive.
I'm currently reading 'White Fang' by Jack London - he's one of the most prominent American writers ever... This book in translation is considered obligatory reading for kids in our country, but I missed it somehow when a child. that's why I decided to make up for it, now I'm reading it in the original... A very good book, magnificent landscapes!

Fortunately, yes. And I usually take a book when I go somewhere - I try to read every possible moment when I'm free and not listening to the music

I am currently reading Cabal by Clive Barker (saw the movie when I was a kid and never got around to reading the book).

and

I am rediscovering Hemingway, and reading A Farewell to Arms.

I also got some new Vonnegut books but haven't started reading those yet.

and of course, OS X server essentials for my ACTC cert. Just got a new job and they are all about getting me certified and trained (or so they say) so I will be reading a lot of Unix, Linux, Windows books in the near future.

I have just finished 'THE TIME SHIPS' by Stephen Baxter, The Authorised Sequel to 'THE TIME MACHINE' by H.G Wells

In the middle of ' The Cold Moon' By Jeffery Deaver
And waiting for 'Prador Moon' By Neal Asher

I like Scifi and Crime fiction.

Neal Asher is one of my favourite New Authors. I have a friend who does not normally read Scifi, but after my recommendation of Asher, they are now hooked

Going retro-SF right now - working my way through Brian Stableford's 'Daedalus Mission' series.

I didn't like farewell to arms - maybe because i was reading it in military camp while staying there for a month to get a military qualification (to become an army officer) - sad irony.
The fact about Hemingway is, that he likes to depict tasty life. His characters are eating, drinking wine and spend their time well (especially i mean Fiesta here).
I liked The Old Man And The Sea much, though. A very good book. I read it in the original, and definitely going to return to it someday.

Dead Boys: Stories by Richard Lange. It's a collection of short stories dealing with life in LA. Very good reading.

World War Z - An Oral History of the Zombie War. I've been looking for a good fiction book to read for a while and this one is pretty good.

roncross- What did you think of The God Delusion? I finished that a couple of months ago.
