transferring email in Mail.app from old to new Mac

I access my POP e-mail account at work on an iMac (via Mail.app), and I now want to move these into my new MacBook. How do I do this?

Assuming you don’t have any emails on your new macbook, you could simply copy ~/Library/Mail on your iMac to ~/Library/Mail on your macbook.

In that case, you could copy the ~/Library/Mail folder over to the Desktop folder of the MacBook, and then use the import function in Mail.app (File=>Import Mailboxes).
