iPod and photos
A big part of the reason I bought an iPod video is that I am traveling internationally for a month and want a way to store my photos. I figured I might as well buy a device I can use and not just a bunch of memory cards that might never get used again. However, I do NOT want to bring my laptop. Extra weight I just do not want to carry. Is it even going to be possible for me to get my photos from my camera, just using public internet cafes? Any suggestions/advice on a solution for this if not?

Your camera and the internet cafe will determine the ease in which you can upload your photos from your camera. For instance, most internet cafe's will not let you install any software and most digital cameras require an accompanying program to retrieve the images, but you may be able to grab them manually from My Computer.
If all you want to do is store them, then you can use something like this to upload them to your 5.5G iPod. You will be able to view them from My Computer when you mount the iPod via USB. Note you will not be able to view them on the iPod, this is for storage only. Since all these cafe's will have Windows make sure you format the iPod as FAT32 and not HFS+, and make sure Disk Mode is enabled. |

Yeah looked around a little based on both suggestions, and it looks like the iWay is $70 while the Apple Camera Connector is $30 (on Apple's site, it's $40 on Best Buy's site). Given that my camera is compatible, I think the Camera Connector will do the job for me. Thanks for the input.
