Question Remote connecting using tightVNC too slow!

I'm using WinXP to connect to out Mac OS X server using tight VNC and it seems like a slow motion video with big screen resolution! I thought chicken of the VNC was also available for win, but I'm not certain I downloaded for Mac. I was trying to use timbuktu pro but it keeps asking me for the "master password" I tried uninstalling the app by dragging it to the trash, at this moment I cannot restart the server. Is there something out there faster/reliable to control a mac from a win pc?? As you can see I'm a newbie using macs.

thanks
