That goes all the way back to system 6. Just one more thing that was so bone simple in the old OSs. Seems like a couple times a week I run across a little task that was a quick grab of a DA app in the old OS and a klunk to do in the 'modern' 'much improved' OSX |

Voice recording
And if you have Office the 'Notes View' lets you make audio recordings from the Tools menu. Tried it once, only a gimmick for me, but it works. (Office 2004 anyway)
