I think you've got it... at least that's the way it seems to function.

I've been using calculator.app all the way back to OS 6 or 7. Has the calculator always been like this (that is, scientific calc and all) or was it updated at some point and I just never caught it?

There are 5 houses in 5 different colours.
In each house there lives a person with a different nationality.
Each person drinks a different type of beverage, smokes a different brand of cigar and keeps a different pet.
None of the persons have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same beverage.

The question is: Who owns the fish?

Hints:
The Brit lives in the red house.
The Swede owns a dog.
The Dane drinks tea.
The green house is on the left of the white house.
The green house's owner drinks coffee.
The person who smokes Pall Mall keeps birds.
The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
The person living in the centre house drinks milk.
The Norwegian lives in the first house.
The person who smokes Blends lives next to the person who owns a cat
The person who keeps horses lives nextdoor to the person who smokes Dunhill.
The person that smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
The German smokes Prince.
The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
The person that smokes Blends has a neighbor who drinks water.

First one to get it right gets a golden star

That would be the German.

From left to right:

Yellow, Norwegian, Dunhill, Water, Cat
Blue, Dane, Blends, Tea, Horses
Red, Brit, Pall Mall, Milk, Birds

I was completely stumped, until I realised that "The green house is on the left of the white house" meant immediately to the left, not just somewhere to the left.

Anyway, if I could have my golden star now please!

anywho this is my riddle an oldie that i heard a while back : romeo and juliet are lying dead on the ground surrounded by broken glass and water. how did this happen?
