Firefox with Tor won't go anywhere!

I have Firefox with Tor/Vidalia/Privoxy running and it just won't connect to any site at all - what am I doing wrong?

Thanks,

Gavin

I've noticed that there is a major glitch when using that combo on PPC. Can you connect to the Privoxy toggle on/off page?

If you have your Privoxy/Tor network settings saved as a different location in Network Preferences then switch back to the default "automatic" location. You can also try selecting "direct connection to the internet" in Firefox's preferences.

On my machine Firefox won't auto-detect Privoxy's settings from the Network Settings panel, so I have to use manual configuration instead.

I sometimes have the problem that I can't connect to the internet unless I use Privoxy/Tor. As soon as I enable them, connection comes back again. That's for any site such as Yahoo! or Amazon.com or BBC.com. It's as if I'm being blocked from using anything but the proxy server. I think it's a glitch in the Privoxy/Tor software. If I uninstall all of the components and restart things go back to normal… for a while.
