iTunes/mp3 files won't hold onto tag changes
Hello,
I've have a problem with some mp3 files in my music collection that will not "hold onto" edits performed in iTunes. For example, when I change the name from "Joe Blow & the John Does" to "Joe Blow and the John Does" in the artist field, it changes fine. When I deselect it, reselect it, and play it, it reverts to the old text. I've checked the file and folder permissions: nothing different from other MP3 files. Any clues? I'm clueless. |

Are you sure they are mp3 files? This has happened to me when playing an audio-only .mov file.

yep. *.mp3
here's the terminal listing of one of the troublesome files. It's Louis Jordan, by the way. -rw-r--r-- 1 user staff 1732022 24 Sep 2002 De Laff's On You.mp3 |

I've had some tags I couldn't change or would change until played again and the revert back. Reconverting to mp3 after burning as audio cd was only way...
