Delete problems in OSX

My "backspace" delete key - the large one above the return key on my G5 Apple Keyboard - doesn't work anymore. Instead of deleting the character immediately to the left of the cursor, it deletes the character to the right (as if its the other delete key next to the "End" key). In effect, I have two delete keys that perform the same function in all applications in OSX, not just Terminal.

Any ideas how I can see if its been remapped or how to change it?

I have it set up to a USB KVM and in windows, the two keys perform properly, performing seperate functions, so I don't think its hardware.

Thanks.

What happens when you bypass the KVM, and plug the keyboard directly into the G5?

What keyboard layout are you using? You can see at System Preferences > International > Input Menu tab > check which items shown as 'Keyboard' in the input type column are checked.
