Workgroup Manager Import - Passwords Reset?

Hello All,

I am rebuilding our Open Directory server tonight and I was wondering if you import the Workgroup Manager settings from an exported file do the old passwords get imported or are the set to nothing. I would image they are set to nothing for security reasons, but just want to be sure. Reason I ask is I have a lot PC clients connecting to the server that are not very savvy and I do not want to remap all of there machines. I have all of there passwords which I can add manually in workgroup manager but I don't want to do that if I dont have to. Can't really test this right now as I will be using the same IP and that IP is currently in production.

Thank you!

I just exported my account from the production server and import myself back in. It seems that the password is set to crypt rather than open directory under the Workgroup Manager:Accounts:Advanced tab, forcing all imported client's passwords to be changed by the administrator when you set the userpassword type back to Open Directory.

Thank you!
