Hi, I have a 12inch PowerBook G4 and I have a battery which is model A1079 and has the serial # of 3K517 ...doesn't this mean I'm applicable for the Apple battery recall program? As it states at https://support.apple.com/ibook_powe...nge/index.html that for users of the powerbook g4 12inch that applicable batteries are of the model A1079 and within the serial # ranges of ZZ411 - ZZ427
3K428 - 3K611 ...isn't my battery between the range: 3K428 - 3K611 ? I ask because when I input my computer serial # and battery serial # to apply for the recall, it says the mac is applicable for the program but it says for my batteries serial #: One or more of your serial numbers didn't validate. Please check the serial number and try again. Or, in the United States, call 800-275-2273 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. PST for further assistance. For other countries, please use our contact page to find the appropriate support number. ... ...tried calling that support # but when I choose #5 for support with the program, during the transfer to the department I always end up with a busy signal tone...so what gives? Isn't my battery applicable for this program?

alright well I called Apple support, and it turns out that yes indeed my battery is applicable for the program, and apparently the reason why I (and according to the rep I was speaking to, many other people) are getting that error is because the system is overloaded to the large amount of people accessing the website...so there's nothing to be done but to just wait until the traffic lowers

Important: For those of you who may like I did, get a error message saying that your batteries serial # is not valid when trying to enter your battery into the program on Apples website, try entering the full battery serial # instead of the suggested 5 #s as this has let me and others at the apple discussions proceed and finish the process to enter our batteries into the program
