reusing ipod parts?

hey
i have a long dead ipod 10gb that i just cracked open - out of curiosity, and to see if i can reuse some parts... can anybody point to any reference/guide/site where to learn about it? any of you people managed to rescue anything? hd (in case it works)?

depending on what broke, you may be able to sell other parts on e-bay.

You may even be able to resurrect it, depending on the problem.

Visual inspection for broken solder joints, burnt components and a bit of multimetering around can go a long way.

Just a thought, some people have been able to connect a ipod up to 3.5 drives. www.command-tab.com/2005/03/13/ipod-super/
