1 Desktop/2 Mouse control
I recently added a second monitor to my setup and have found that a lot of time is spent going from one screen to another (one application to another). Is there a way to connect 2 mice and have each one linked/controlled to a different cursor? I don't expect to be able to work with both mice/cursors at the same time, but to be able to "leave" the cursors at different places and not have it "shift".
Hope this clear enough. |

There can only be one cursor per desktop... You could setup a second mouse but it would control the same cursor. Two screens doesn't mean two desktops, only one very large one.

Thanks for responding.... I did realize that it is one big desktop.... that's the problem... it is big! What I was hoping was that there was a hack. (or maybe a utility for saving the cursor location and recall it/go to it when a designated usb device is clicked, perhaps by keying to the unique vendor id?) I guess you are saying it isn't possible? |

Have you tried increasing the cursor speed? Get it high enough and moving screen to screen gets pretty easy.

I use multiple screens (three) and use a combination of high mouse speed and organizing my work logically so it's not an issue. Consider your window placement options and other ways to organize your workflow.

Not quite but,
You could always write a script to move the mouse to the opposite screen and center it
I have done something similar to this before the scripting should not be too bad.
