How can I make my trackball or key mouse faster ?

I have the logitech trackball mouse and want to increase it's dpi speed on teh screen..

As a different method I allso am trying the number pad keys to control the mouse ! It's quite fun but slow,, it has a major lag when changeing keys.. there should be a way to tweak the setting to get a faster response time on them.. Like in a FPS game style of speed.. Saves hand movement and makes it feel like a sifi computer :P

You have checked out the System Prefs, right?

Open System Preferences. Click on Logitech Control Center. When the Pref Pane appears, right click on the image of your mouse, and select one of the mouse speed multipliers. The choices are 1x, 2x, and 4x.

Try changing the delay and key repeat rate in System Preferences: Keyboard and Mouse: Keyboard. There are settings in System Preferences: Universal Access as well, in the Keyboard and Mouse tabs.
