ipod and sleepmode

I have a iPod video 30gb; sometimes when I have left it charging on a USB port, when I come back hours later, the computer will not wake without rebooting? Any else had this problem?

computer wont wake if iPod is attached

I charge my iPod using its sync cord into a pci USB port. If my computer puts itself to sleep while the iPod is charging (even when ejected) the only way to wake it is to reoot. Has anyone experienced this and is there a solution other than a separate dock.

I merged the two threads.
If you think you've posted in the wrong section, ask a moderator to move the thread.
If you merely want to bring attention to a neglected thread, post again in that thread with an update.

you can withdraw this thread as I suspect a usb audio interface installed at the same time may be the problem.

I'm glad that you figured out what the problem was.
There is no reason to remove the thread. It might be useful to some future reader.

coreydv, can you tell us which USB audio interface you've got connected, and what driver version (if applicable) you are using with that audio interface?
