Displaying call logue for my IP phone?

.
Is there an easier way to view my IP phone call logue?

Let me explain. I have an IP telephone (Norway), and when I’m out of the office it gets transferred to my mobile phone. Not all customers wait long enough to have it transferred, so some calls are lost. Other times I may be busy with another call.

Now, I can check the list of unanswered calls on my IP phone provider’s log-in web service. But since it has a time out, I have to log on for every check.

What I would love is a widget or similar, where one click displays the list of calls.

Is there a solution – short of waiting for my IP provider to develop it (might take forever), purchasing a phone with a log memory, or paying for development myself (out of the question, unless it’s a really quick job)?

I assume that Safari won't save your password to your keychain.

Have you tried any of the workarounds shown in this hint?

No, for some reason it wasn’t doing that. But as far as I can tell, I would nevertheless have to go through Telio’s menu system every time to get to the call logue.

From the look of it you want a Norwegian speaking, Telio account-owning, Mac-using, web programming guy to help you out. They are probably thin on the ground.

'Screen scrapers' unfortunately have a habit of breaking when somebody changes the format of the webpage.

My basic research on Telio says they make use of XTen's software which doesn't seem to support the feature you are requesting, but could easily be made to. Your best bet is making a feature request to Telio - XTen might be under pressure from other licensees to provide this feature.

FYI there are allegations in various places on the web that the XTen software 'phones home' to XTen's servers in addition to your provider's service. You might just want to run Little Snitch to see if that's true.

Wow, thanks for taking the time to look at them! Really appreciate you sharing your reasons for concerns about XTen "phoning home"!

I’m about to purchase Little Snitch – and this gives me good reason to do so sooner.

I am beginning to think users should start a movement, armed with a standard form – demanding that service providers guarantee that none of their software phones home, beyond what is specifically stated in their Customer Contracts.

Thanks again, Bramley!

XTens "privacy" policy would allow this in no uncertain terms:

"We also collect usage information from you when you visit us or use our softphones."

Good luck educating your VoIP provider to customer privacy.
