iCal not syncing properly

One (actually two) of my clients are having an issue with iCal syncing. It is going up to their .Mac account and synchronizing every hour. The problem is that both computers have different data. It is not syncing the new items.

Does anyone know a fix for this or another program that they can use to sync? It has to be similar to iSync because the boss checks and updates his calendar when he is on the road.

My case is a bit different. When told to sync, iCal appears to try but more often than not never complete. Sometimes you get the SCWOD. On rare instances it does issue an error saying it can't sync. Whatever is wrong it seems to be this account on this Mac. Since I don't use it I don't know what in the cache or preferences I can move aside to try and solve this.

Another issue is the Web page and the real iCal page not being the same all the time. They are mostly. But now and then they differ. So it seems something is being updated somewhere.

I'm at a loss. Help appreciated.
