Sunset on the West Coast (Washington State) as seen from a 2005 Toyota Sienna rear window. Not bad for one of those stupid little dinky cameras?
The little clock was made by robinwmills (http://clanmills.com/articles/cocoatutorials/) and it makes it easy to see what time it is.
EDIT: I'll upload it on a quicker connection

My son at the track. I had to flip the photo for the desktop so that he wasn't by the icons.

So, I just installed Windows 7, and I believe the best desktop comes *with* the install:

Bootcamping, since I need the performance. I mostly do games with Win7.

Also, one must think: What was going through MS's head when they included these desktops?

Just put up a copy of a painting which is way busier than my usual very quiet desktop. I don't expect it will stay up too long. I elected to leave some solid margin so I could find my oft-used folders.

When I first got into OS X back in like 2002, I used to have the same screen saver and background as my Linux box on my Mac...

I worked tech support and users would come in and be like man, your computer just totally crashed dude!

As I expected, I reverted to a nice quiet desktop. Pity that I could not buy the actual framed artwork of that busy picture which I had admired in a gallery. It might work better on a wall.

I commonly go long periods without changing my desktop background, but I've been changing frequently lately.

Time for retro.

My old first-gen MacBook Pro. Purchased mid 2006, stolen mid 2007, never recovered.
