Windowserver.log Weirdness in 10.4.5
In my windowserver.log file, there's a new entry every time that I use <Command>+<Tab> to switch between applications.
It says: Mar 31 07:32:33 [81] "Dock" (0x5a13) set hot key operating mode to all but UA disabled Mar 31 07:32:33 [81] Hot key operating mode is now all but UA disabled Mar 31 07:32:39 [81] "Dock" (0x5a13) set hot key operating mode to normal Mar 31 07:32:39 [81] Hot key operating mode is now normal Aside from it filling up my log and wasting drive space, is this anything to care about? |

Are you using any 3rd-party utilities that might be relevant here?
I think "UA" refers to Universal Access - have you got anything in that preference panel enabled?

"Enable access for assistive devices" was the only thing enabled and with it off, the log entries are still stacking up. Googling for the problem, I have found this gent who saw the log entries while using Front Row... http://www.cocoadev.com/index.pl?Usi...eRemoteControl ...and this post about it perhaps being a bug in 10.4.3... http://hardware.mcse.ms/archive141-2005-11-259846.html ...and here's a post from these forums showing the entries in Panther... http://forums.macosxhints.com/showth...0&page=2&pp=20 ...But I haven't found anything describing why a Mac would suddenly start logging every application-switch done from the keyboard. |
