sterytyper-

Royksopp's sounds are very diverse (varying by album, male/female vocal, etc.), so that's a wide ranging request...but, I'll make a stab at it. Some may disagree, but to me, these songs are reminiscent of various Royksopp.

Male vocal:
Underworld - Crocodile (Radio Edit)
The Beloved - Sweet Harmony
I Start Counting - Million Headed Monster
The Egg - Wall (The Egg Edit)

Female Vocal:
Tiefschwarz feat. Tracey Thorn - Damage
Saint Etienne - Shower Scene
Alphawezen - Into the Stars

Instrumental:
Lindstrom - Another Station (Todd Terje Remix)

Keep in mind that many of the groups above are also diverse in their other work, so I am not making any blanket comparisons...but, I hope you find something you like.

Thanks to everyone posting some new listening ideas. I have a couple shout outs:

Photek-

I bought Ian Brown - "Longsite M13". Thanks for the lead.
Unfortunately, "Brown Paper Bag" by Roni Size is not on the US iTS.
In the Massive Attack vein, give a listen to Barry Adamson - Something Wicked This Way Comes.

nikopolidis-

I bought Planet Funk - Everyday. Thanks for the lead (there are only two Planet Funk choices on the US iTS.

Oh yeah. I got so caught up in trying out everyone's suggestions, I forgot that the reason I came to post was to strongly recommend:

Federico Aubele - Panamericana

Sends me on a mental trip to the beach or poolside. Nice downtempo beats with some Spanish guitar (making it not quite as exotic as Thievery Corporation, but still feeling international). A solid album all the way through.

Pink Floyd -- Wish You Were Here (which should not be listened to while reading the story of Syd Barret...the song is sad enough without that.)

I heard him in concert at a small venue a few years ago. Rypdal is also known for playing extremely loud -- on par with any rock band out there.

You may want to check out his collaborations with Ketil Björnstad and David Darling, such as "The Sea".
