Question 10.2 installer no longer sees drives.

After installing 10.2 6c115 on one drive, the installer no longer recognizes any of my drives or partitions as targets available for installation of 10.2

The last time I saw drives unavailable for install was because of 3rd party PCI cards. Just as a long shot, pull your non-Apple cards out and try again.

There is some oddity going on with the 10.2 installers. Tried install on iBook 2001 - it refused to see either partition as available - drive list completely empty. Pulled cd and installed on G4 - it refused to install on my chosen partition until I restarted and reformatted with disk utility. EVEN though I did choose to reformat in the installer and when that didn't work I even tried the "quit installer launch disk tools" from installer disk and attempted to reformat but it refused. After reformatting (from 10.1.5) I was able to get all of the above procedures to work (e.g. reformatting within the installer itself, etc). I just wanted to see if it would actually work. After a successful install, I pulled the cd and put it back into the original iBook 2001 which had had no modification made to it other than the obligatory restart after pulling the install cd. Installer booted and immediately offered me the option of installing on either of the two partition available on the machine. Neither partition showed previously.

So there is definitely something screwy in the installers.

I found that any other device on the FireWire chain during installation confuses the Jaguar installer.

Try removing other devices and hopefully all should be well.
