Pages is by far the best price for what you get, If you after something with loads of functions, Indesign is amazing but its a Pro app. Stay away from Quark, it sucks.

I used Publisher for years, and in spite of it being so proprietary in it's format, It was really easy to use, and gave you enough for your money so you didn't need anything else (professionals aside), and I miss the darn thing on my Mac.
There is really no equivalent.... I bought iWork for Pages, but be prepared to be bewildered! That said, you can turn out what you need. It is st not as user friendly as Publisher was. Good Luck!

Very nice link ! Its the first product I'm seeing that has the same idea behind it as Publisher... Simple, cheap but can be more than enough for basic layout !

I ordered my copy on cd and had it within 3 days. Decent service!
After insatlling I gave it a test run and I like it. Frankly this is what Pages SHOULD have been (Apple take note!!)! The simple addition of adding layout guides is a welcome addition - and you can lock them once you have them as you wish - is reason enough to like it. I "looks" alot like Pages. I haven't dug deep enough to see if it goes as deep. One thing I notices right off: adding objects is a breeze. You can easily position a new object whereever and however you choose. I had issues with Pages and positioning items "easily". For the money it's a killer. IMHO.

Thanks alot for writing this small review on the software... I'm thinking of maybe getting it for simple layout instead of always going to take over a computer that has InDesign installed.
