some menus not working

Several menu items are not working on my Quicksilver G4. For instance, in the menu bar, the "Open Date & Time" command does nothing. Also, in the dock, the "Dock preferences" also does nothing. Under the Apple Menu/Dock, the Dock preferences command does not work. Anyone else having these problems and know a fix? Fortunately, I can access these from the System Preferences panel.
