Turn off pulsating sleep indicator on G4/G5?

Hello,

The pulsating sleep indicator on my PowerMac G5 is nice but makes it difficult (for humans) to try to fall asleep in the same room. Does anyone know how to make it turn off altogether, during sleep or even all the time? Even if you knew a way of getting the light to stay at a constant level regardless of sleep/wake status, that would be helpful.

Ben

You could not let it sleep, but just turn off the monitor, it should be silent enough, although it defeats the very purpose of the deep sleep feature.

I don't know if there is a software way of changing the behaviour of the LED, I'd probably just put some gaffa-tape around it inside the machine, a both simple and reversible approach to the problem...
