G3 iMac wireless question

Well I've just found this place and it's an absolutely brilliant source of knowledge. I have a question that has been troubling me but which I'm sure is easily solveable for someone here.

Basically I've just bought a G3 iMac from Ebay. I've bought OSX and I'm very happy with it - far more reliable than my crappy PC, better user interface and far more stable with iTunes. Basically I'm one loved up mac convert at the moment.

Thing is that I'd love to know exactly how I can incorporate the mac into my existing wireless network. I have a BT broadband modem/router, which at the moment is being used to provide internet access to the mac with the ethernet cable.

What I'd like to do though is install the Mac in its own spot near to my stereo (I use it to run my ipod mostly) and for this I need wireless. The mac isn't fitted with an airport card, so does anyone know if there is a wireless access point (correct terminology?) that I can buy that is compatible with my mac and that will connect to my existing wireless network?

Any help or suggestions for an enthusiastic newbie are most welcome.

If you have an existing wireless network then you already have an "access point" - that is the server side of a wireless network. What you need is either an Airport card (I think there is a spot internal to the iMac for hooking one up, but the one you need is the older 802.11b version, not the "Airport Express" version now being sold, so you will need to get this from eBay or a dealer, and I've heard that they are now scarce and so sell at a premium) or a USB-based wireless adaptor (many models, aimed mostly at the Windows market, so be sure it claims OS X compatibility).

Look at this thread form earlier today: http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=34053

I would suggest as they said in the last post to check for an ethernet adapter for wireless... Look at the suggestion for the Netgear.

Thanks for this - there are Airport cards on ebay but I'd rather have "g" wireless than "b" wireless. I'll try the Netgear suggestion.
