Unhappy German Keyboard for U.S. PB 12"?

I am looking to purchase a new 12" PB here in the U.S. with a German keyboard. (The layout is somewhat different from a U.S. keyboard.) The Apple store only provides U.S. and Western Spanish as layout options, and none of the resellers that I called (Smalldog, etc.) seem to be able to help either. Any ideas what I could do? (I don't want to order from the German Apple store. I don't know how they would deal with a U.S. shipping address, and -- more importantly -- I would get killed by the exchange rate.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. drhfk

P.S. I know that I can change the mapping of the keyboard, but here I am looking for a hardware solution.

There is no hardware solution. The difference between an American keyboard and German keyboard are the keycaps. The keyboard map defines the action of the keyboard. Yes. I know it would be so much easier to use if the keycaps were correct as well... Perhaps you can order directly from Apple a Powerbook with the german keycaps.
