Ok here goes. My desktop computer was working fine over the weekend logged last night and what do my wondering eyes should see but my computer switched from english to spanish and when I tried to correct this hitting any button low and behold my computer shuts off. I tried to restore the system from the command prompt but sighhh I couldn't read what was there. I'm thinking I need to reformat but if I can't read what is written how am I going to do this. Am I the victim of a trojan thats invaded my system. Helpppp please and thank you.

Your not the victime of a virus... As people keep on repeating on these forums, still no MAc OS X viruses known to this day... I would suggest you boot from your OS Install or Recovery disk and check what Disk Utility has to say when doing a Verify. You could also just boot from the install cd and, if its 10.3, do an Archive and Install... That way you'd be able to recuperate your stuff afterwards... Just suggesting this as the language for the system is unintelligeable for you right now, so it takes out pretty much any troubleshooting tips...
