converting scanned images to vector
Hi All-
I need to convert some scanned images to vector graphic format. Anyone know of any good cheap/freeware programs to do this (*nix or mac based)? I don't think I can convince the boss to buy Adobe Streamline just for a handful of conversions. Thanks. |

It has mixed results, but Adobe Illustrator will do this to a black and white bitmap. My best results came from Flash MX.

My PowerBook came with Graphic Convertor from http://www.lemkesoft.com . It seems to convert from anything to anything, though I've only used it for PDF > JPG. I remember seeing SVG format, don't know if that's what you're looking for.
