Red face Newsletters?

No one ever emails me...if i could get a daily Mac OS X Hints newsletter or somethin like that, it'd be nice to have someone/thing email me daily.

I kind of used to be the same way.. but I had something to look forward to weekly: Apple eNews and/or QuickTime News.

They're not daily e-newsletters, but I'm sure there are countless other letters of any type. Just look around, I'm sure you'll find something.

Not quite what you mean but, Rob runs a RSS feed for MacOSXHints. The URL is: http://www.macosxhints.com/backend/geeklog.rdf Updates each time there's a new hint.

If you need a free newsreader try AmphetaDesk at: http://www.disobey.com/amphetadesk/

Did you know you can get RSS feeds here, too? From the FAQ:

Quote:
The feeds are currently provided in two formats, RSS and RSS v2. The differences are as follows:

RSS 0.91 - This feed is based on a standard written by netscape and provides a link and the title of the thread.
http://forums.macosxhints.com/external.php?type=rss

RSS 2.0 - This feed contains title, author, date and the contents of the first post of the thread.
http://forums.macosxhints.com/external.php?type=rss2

The forums to which this applies can also be limited to specific guest viewable forums by adding another paramater to the URL containing the forumids as follows:

http://forums.macosxhints.com/extern...2&forumids=123

If you would like the content to be generated for multiple forums you can seperate the forumids by commas, as in:

http://forums.macosxhints.com/extern...rumids=123,245

OK, it's not a direct quote; I added the last example . For some reason, the RSS feeds were disabled when I upgraded to the newest vBulletin. But they're enabled again now, so subscribe away. You get much more info with the RSS2 feeds, and I know NetNewsWire Lite (at least) supports them...

To get a forum's ID, just hover over its link on the main page, and you'll see it at the end of the URL.

No - it's been awhile since I looked. I'll give it a whirl.
